چکیده

The beamline BL43IR at SPring-8 has been constructed as a beamline exclusively dedicated to the infrared spectroscopy. The beamline was designed to make use of infrared synchrotron radiation emitted from a bending magnet of 39.3m bending radius with the acceptance angle of 36.5(H) 12.6(V)mrad and to cover a very wide wavelength range from 500 nm (20,000 cm , 2.5 eV) to 100mm (100 cm , 12.5meV). A Fourier transform interferometer and four experimental stations were installed to utilize the infrared synchrotron radiation at SPring-8. # 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved. Front end and optics of infrared beamline at SPring-8

An infrared (IR) beamline, BL43IR, at SPring-8 has been constructed for IR spectroscopies under extreme conditions. The beamline covers a very wide photon energy range in the IR region and offers a brilliant IR photon beam to the experimental end stations. The IR light from SPring-8 is collected by a newly designed optical system including a so-called ‘‘magic mirror’’. The design of the optical...

Surface science station of the infrared beamline at SPring-8

An experimental station for surface science has been constructed at the infrared beamline (BL43IR) of SPring-8, Japan. The station utilizes synchrotron radiation in the energy range of 100–20000 cm 1 to perform infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy (IRAS) of surfaces. It consists of an experimental section, a preparation chamber, gas handling equipment and a pair of focusing optics. In si...

We describe the design of an instrument for the investigation of sample dynamics: the SPring-8 High Resolution Beamline (BL35XU). The primary purpose of the beamline is high resolution (,meV) inelastic X-ray scattering measurements. The secondary purpose is nuclear resonant scattering measurements. Construction of the beamline will begin in the summer of 1999 and commissioning will start in the...

Infrared microspectroscopy station at BL43IR of SPring-8

BL43IR of SPring-8 has been constructed for the infrared materials researches, and it covers a wide spectral range from 100 to 20,000 cm . The microspectroscopy station of this BL has a spatial resolution smaller than 10 lm in diameter in the mid-infrared region without apertures. This station had been mainly used within mid-infrared region, and its performance in the far-infrared region had no...

Infrared spectromicroscopy and magneto-optical imaging stations at SPring-8

At the BL43IR of SPring-8, infrared microanalysis on various kinds of solid specimens under multiple environments with a spatial resolution smaller than 10mm in diameter is planned in the infrared region. In order to perform such analysis, two different stations, a multipurpose spectromicroscopy apparatus and a magneto-optical imaging one have been constructed. Measurements on the spatial two-d...
